About project

The TATRANSKÝ TATÉR project was created with the aim of promoting tattoo art among the general public, mainly by organizing tattoo exhibitions and competitions. A secondary goal is to carry out theoretical and practical activities focused on presenting and popularizing tattoo art.

In short, we want to show people how tattoo art has evolved and erase the notion that tattoos are merely a mark of a certain group of people. For many years, tattoos were considered nothing more than a black mark on the skin that would become an eyesore over time, and everyone who got one would later regret it. However, times have changed, and as the number of tattooed people grows, so does the number of inexperienced novice tattoo artists.

We want to educate the public on what a quality tattoo should look like, how to choose the right tattoo artist or tattoo studio, why to choose a professional tattoo artist over a home-based amateur tattoo artist, how to choose a timeless design, etc.

The founder and main sponsor of the TATRANSKÝ TATÉR project is the LA CASTA tattoo studio in Poprad. It is a studio concept that brings together four professional tattoo artists. Each of these tattoo artists mainly creates tattoos in their own style, so every client can choose the right tattoo artist for them.
